The first UK Tough Mudder ‘London West’ event kicked off this weekend (Sat 26th & Sun 27th April) at Culden Faw in Henley-On-Thames, giving ‘Mudders’ a truly beautiful and picturesque surrounding to get down and dirty!

What is Tough Mudder?

Couple on piggy back
A couple work together to battle through the mud alongside 17,500 participants at Tough Mudder’s London West event in Henley on Thames that took place this weekend.

Tough Mudder events are hard-core 10-12 mile-long obstacle courses designed by the Special Forces to test all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. With the most innovative courses and inspiring over a million participants worldwide to date, Tough Mudder is the premier adventure challenge series in the world. It is not a race, but a challenge and in 2014 Tough Mudder will host more than 60 events in countries worldwide.

New for 2014 – Apart from new obstacles the introduction of ‘Mudder Fest’ (release attached), exclusive to the UK and Germany events, turned what has traditionally been two separate event days into a weekend extravaganza. This included camping with exclusive access to the base area for campers and an official ‘Apres Mud’ party on Saturday night with DJs, dancing, drinks and the chance to bond with fellow Mudders.
