Nepal Trip Reports, winter Skiing and Climbing
Our Nepal climbing and trekking season has drawn to a close. Overall, it’s been a pretty successful season, though teams experienced mixed weather with some luckier than others. We’ve had groups in the Khumbu region, Mera, Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Sanctuary, Mardi Himal/Kopra Ridge, Dhaulagiri Circuit, Dolpo and the Makalu-Barun National Park. The overwhelming news with regards to post-earthquake Nepal is that there is no reason not to visit any of these areas. Indeed, we saw little evidence of the earthquake, apart from in villages such as Thame where very old houses built with stones have collapsed, and plenty of cracked stupas. You can read some of the Trip Reports from this season here.
“Having been on a few expeditions with Jagged Globe, I have never been disappointed. It is, quite frankly, in my opinion, the best UK company in it’s field.” Thanks Tim! (who is recently back from Nepal and the Dhaulagiri Circuit)
