After a flurry of activity at Progression Bikes this last few weeks, we thought it best to tell everyone what we have been up to, and what you can all look forward to this year!

Our race team got off to a great start at the Ae Forest TT with all of our riders that took part getting a top ten position. Some of that winter training must be paying off! Their new Saracen Mysts and Mondraker Dunes came back with great reviews and podium spots. Thanks to Madison and Silverfish for getting the team rolling, and all the other sponsors for getting us to where we are now. Look out for our Progression Bikes Racing pits at many of the Downhill and Enduro events around the UK, plus some overseas events too.

The biking scene at Dunkeld is exploding right now! With the SES and Perthshire Enduro’s and the Dunkeld SDA, the hills are alive with people out getting rad on bikes and finding that trail gold. There have been plenty of Enduro taster trips, packed uplifts, guided rides on the lesser known trails and coaching on the steep stuff. Whatever the occasion or your requirements, we can put a fantastic ride together.

It is great when you get some recognition for all the hard work that goes into not just running a business, but as a community building trails and helping to grow the local scene. MBUK Magazine did a great write-up of all the above in their latest issue. If you haven’t seen it, pop into the shop and have a read over a coffee!

Our bike camps are back again for 2016, with dates at Easter, Summer and October. We are also running some two day trips with our friends at Comrie Croft with camping in between. These are for intermediate and advanced riders, with the timings running as usual 10-4. A great opportunity for them to get some expert coaching on different trails. We hand the group back to the parents for the evening, and meet them again in the morning. So a nice family camping trip, without having to look after the kids during the day! Please book your pitches directly with Comrie Croft

The shop is now at full speed, and open 6 days a week, going up to 7 days come the summer. New hire fleets are arriving including 2016 fat bikes, plus size bikes, high end trail bikes and e bikes, with, or without suspension. We also have some trekking bikes for multi day remote trips, with full expedition gear. Ask us about our favourite bothies and routes with train station access!
