In July, ten daring cyclists took to the Scottish Highlands to complete an epic 300 mile adventure starting at Glasgow and finishing in Aberdeen. Páramo and Nikwax kitted out cyclist Neil Munro, Fundraising Manager at children’s charity Wide Horizons, to help him complete the challenge.

Cycling over 100-miles a day in the Scottish Highlands, Neil wore a Fuera Ascent Windproof jacket to keep him cool and dry along the route.

Neil and friends, raised more than £4000 for Wide Horizons, Páramo and Nikwax’s ‘First Adventure Days’ campaign. This is an initiative to provide 10,000 adventures for disadvantaged children who have never had an adventure before.

Neil says; “It was possibly the best three days cycle I’ve ever had, as the views were absolutely incredible, but it was also the hardest three days on a bike I’ve ever had as some of the climbs were very steep!”
And how did the Fuera Ascent hold up? “The jacket was brilliant. It was really easy to cycle in as it was so lightweight and was really breathable to wear for the entire three days of riding.”

You can take part in your own adventure this October to support the ‘First Adventure Days’ campaign. In teams of 2-4 you will be challenged to bike 37km, run 10km and canoe 3km. You will also get to see the most gorgeous landscapes in the South-East: Bewl Water reservoir, Bedgebury Forest and the Scotney Castle estate.
