Pure variety: Freestyle Action in the Kitzsteinhorn Snowparks and Superpipe!

Already from October and then all the way to May, freestyle snowboarders and skiers can enjoy the extensive range of freestyle activities on the Kitzsteinhorn, Austria! During this extra-long season there will also be lots of events on the snowsure glacier at Zell am See Kaprun. New in the 2018/19 season: In addition to the Glacier Park from October, the Superpipe, Easy Park and Eagle Line from December as well as the Central Park from January, the South Central Park will open in February. With its playful set-up it offers all motivated park riders the opportunity to shred up to 20 obstacles in one continuous run when combined with Easy Park and Central Park.

Glacier Park: The skatepark made of snow!

Head shaper Martin Liebmann and his experienced team guarantee the world-class quality of the slopestyle facilities at Kitzsteinhorn. The season begins in October with the Glacier Park on the glacier plateau, which is open until January. This“skatepark made of snow” offers a creative and versatile set-up with more than 30 obstacles, including six kickers between 4 and 12 metres as well as tubes, rails and special features. The Easy Kicker Line, Medium Kicker Line and Jib Lines offer the riders numerous possibilities to prove their creativity!

Superpipe: Home of the Olympic Champions!

The superpipe will be open from December to May, and with a length of 150 metres and a height of 6.5 metres, it will again be a playground for the best halfpipe professionals in the world. It will once more be shaped by Alli Zehetner, one of the world’s leading pipe specialists, who also built the halfpipe for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games. Last winter, all three snowboard medal winners of the 2018 Winter Olympics had fine-tuned their skills at the Kitzsteinhorn superpipe: Shaun White (USA), Ayumu Hirano (JPN) and Scotty James (AUS). David Wise (USA), Olympic freestyle skiing champion in the halfpipe, had also practiced his tricks in the Kitzsteinhorn superpipe before winning in Pyeongchang.

Easy Park: More than 20 obstacles deliver variety for all

The Easy Park is open from December to May. With its various obstacles, it offers kids and beginners the opportunity to develop their personal level step by step. The Easy Park comprises over 20 obstacles for everyone from beginners to professionals. Among them are five kickers between 2 and 15 meters as well as numerous boxes, tubes, rails and hips. It consists of the Easy Line with three easy kickers and easy boxes, the Upper Park with its slopestyle line, and the Jib Line with its boxes, tubes, rails and a hip.

The Eagle Line is another offer especially for beginners though also experts will have a lot of fun here. According to the motto “Learn to fly”, you can surf over waves and practice how to take off.

Central Park: The largest kicker at Kitzsteinhorn

From January 2019, the Central Park will excite riders with a set-up where progression and airtime are in the foreground. It will remain open until May and offers several medium-sized kickers to improve your kicker skills, as well as the biggest kicker on the Kitzsteinhorn. More than 15 obstacles from 6- to 20-meter kickers as well as tubes, rails and a wallride wait here. In the starting area, the Chill Area with containers and deckchairs invites you to relax between the runs.
